3M™ Vent Tape 394 is a 4 mil, white pressure-sensitive tape built on a non-woven synthetic backing engineered specifically for high air and gas permeability. The breathable construction allows gases to pass through freely while the solid barrier minimizes void formation and reduces cleanup — a combination that sets it apart from standard masking or process tapes.

This tape is designed for foam-in-place insulation processes and appliance manufacturing outgas venting applications, where controlled gas release during curing is critical to part quality. It is also used in HVAC component assembly and other industrial manufacturing environments where outgassing requirements must be met consistently.
