3M™ 4008 Double Sided Foam Tape is a 2-inch-wide, 36-yard roll built around a 1/8-inch open cell polyurethane foam carrier with a firm acrylic adhesive system on both sides. The compressible foam core conforms to irregular and uneven surfaces, distributing stress along the bond line and providing built-in cushioning and vibration dampening without mechanical fasteners.

This tape is well suited for assembly, mounting, and bonding tasks in industrial manufacturing, metal fabrication, sign making, and commercial construction. It performs reliably in applications requiring a durable bond on contoured or textured substrates where a rigid adhesive transfer would bridge rather than conform.

The acrylic adhesive resists elevated temperatures and solvents and is rated for application between 70°F and 100°F. The tape is designed for indoor use or protected exterior environments. Each case contains 6 rolls and ships via parcel carrier.
