3M™ 4016 Double Sided Foam Tape is built on a 1/16" open cell polyurethane foam carrier with a firm acrylic adhesive on both sides. The conformable foam construction allows the tape to seat against irregular or uneven surfaces, distributing stress across the bond line while providing cushioning, vibration dampening, and impact resistance in a low-profile bond.
This tape is well suited for indoor mounting and assembly work in manufacturing, electronics, signage, and maintenance environments. The acrylic adhesive tolerates elevated temperatures and solvent exposure, and the tape is rated for exterior use in protected installations — anywhere direct environmental exposure is shielded. Optimal bonding temperature is 70°F to 100°F.
Each roll measures 1" wide by 36 yards and is sold in cases of 9 rolls. The firm acrylic adhesive requires clean, dry surfaces for best adhesion; light pressure applied at bonding ensures full contact with the foam carrier. Cases ship via parcel carrier.
