3M™ 4905 VHB™ tape is a 20 mil clear acrylic foam tape with acrylic adhesive on both sides and a red polyethylene film liner. The fully transparent construction makes it ideal for bonding applications where visible fasteners or opaque adhesives would compromise appearance.

This tape is engineered to replace mechanical fasteners — rivets, screws, spot-welds, and liquid adhesives — in structural mounting and assembly work. It bonds reliably to glass, acrylic, and other high-surface-energy substrates, making it a standard choice for sign fabricators, glazing contractors, architectural millwork shops, and electronics manufacturers working with clear or translucent components.
