3M™ 4936 VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape is a 25 mil dark gray acrylic foam tape with double-sided acrylic adhesive, offered here in a 1/2" x 5-yard roll. The conformable foam core maintains consistent contact across irregular or mixed substrates, creating a structural bond capable of replacing rivets, screws, spot welds, and liquid adhesives in demanding assembly work.
This tape is well-suited for narrow bonding channels in electronics manufacturing, trim attachment on pre-painted or powder-coated metal panels, component mounting in HVAC and signage fabrication, and sealing applications in transportation equipment where vibration resistance is critical. Its UL746C listing supports use in electrical and electronic assemblies.
The tape withstands temperatures from -40°F to 200°F and resists moisture, solvents, and UV exposure. A kraft paper liner protects both adhesive surfaces prior to application. Sold as 1 roll per unit and ships via parcel carrier.
