3M™ 4949 VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape is a 45-mil black acrylic foam tape with general-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides, engineered as a structural bonding alternative to mechanical fasteners such as rivets, screws, spot welds, and liquid adhesives. It carries a clear polyester liner and meets UL746C standards.
The tape's resistance to moisture, solvents, and UV exposure makes it well suited for both indoor and outdoor applications in manufacturing, metal fabrication, architectural panel assembly, signage installation, and industrial maintenance.
