3M™ 4950 VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape is a 45 mil double-sided acrylic foam tape supplied in white with a kraft paper liner. Its firm acrylic foam core carries a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on both faces, delivering a structural bond capable of replacing rivets, screws, spot welds, and liquid adhesives in demanding assembly applications. The adhesive system meets UL746C requirements.

Rated for continuous use from -40°F to 200°F, the tape resists moisture, solvents, and UV exposure, making it effective in both interior and exterior environments. Manufacturing, transportation, construction, and signage operations rely on it for bonding aluminum panels to steel substrates, attaching architectural sign faces to frames, and securing trim components or stiffeners during vehicle fabrication.
