3M™ 4959 VHB™ Tape is a 120 mil white acrylic foam tape with dual-sided acrylic adhesive, measuring 3/4 inch wide by 5 yards long. The firm foam core delivers conformability and gap-filling performance, forming a permanent, load-bearing bond to metals, plastics, glass, and painted surfaces without mechanical fasteners.
Rated from -40°F to 300°F with resistance to moisture, solvents, and UV exposure, this tape performs reliably in both interior and exterior environments. Typical applications include structural panel and skin bonding, architectural signage attachment, stiffener bonding, and assembly operations in construction, manufacturing, and sign fabrication.
Construction consists of a white acrylic foam carrier, dual-sided acrylic adhesive, and a polyester film liner that protects the adhesive until application. The tape is UL746C listed. Each unit contains one roll.
