3M™ 8981 Strapping Tape is a 6.6 mil clear polypropylene strapping tape reinforced with glass yarn filaments and bonded with a synthetic rubber adhesive. The glass yarn construction delivers tensile strength comparable to heavier strapping materials while remaining hand-applicable without tools, making it one of the more versatile options in the 3M strapping lineup.

This tape bonds reliably to standard, recycled, and printed fiberboard, making it well suited for carton reinforcement, pallet unitizing, and bundling in warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution environments. It holds up under abrasion and moisture exposure, maintaining adhesion integrity through transit and storage handling.

Each case contains 12 rolls at 2 inches wide by 60 yards per roll. The product ships via parcel carrier, and cases may be ordered individually to match replenishment cycles at single- or multi-station pack lines.
