3M Double Sided Foam Tape 4004 is built on a 1/4" open cell polyurethane foam carrier with a firm acrylic adhesive bonded to both sides. The conformable foam core adapts to irregular and uneven surfaces, distributing stress across the bond line while simultaneously providing cushioning, vibration dampening, and gap-filling in a single tape solution.

This tape is well suited for industrial assembly, light manufacturing, and component mounting applications where surfaces are imperfect or require a resilient bond layer. It performs reliably indoors and in exterior installations where the tape is shielded from direct environmental exposure, making it a practical choice for electronics assembly, signage mounting, and trim attachment in protected settings.

The acrylic adhesive provides high bond strength with resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents; the recommended application temperature range is 70°F to 100°F. Each case contains 18 rolls and ships via parcel carrier.
