3M Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 69 is a 7 mil woven glass cloth tape with a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive in a 3/4 inch wide by 66 foot roll in white. Unlike vinyl or rubber-based electrical tapes, the silicone adhesive forms a thermosetting bond that strengthens with exposure to elevated temperatures, making it distinctively reliable in sustained high-heat environments.
This tape is built for demanding electrical and industrial applications: wrapping motor leads, insulating coil windings, securing bus bars, and splicing conductors in environments where heat cycling or flame exposure is a factor. It is used in motor manufacturing, transformer assembly, and industrial MRO where standard tapes degrade. The woven glass cloth backing conforms to cylindrical and irregular surfaces without gapping or unraveling.
The tape is rated for continuous operation from 32°F to 392°F and is suitable for insulating and splicing conductors up to 3,000 volts. It is flame resistant and edge-tear resistant. This listing covers a single roll and ships via parcel carrier.
