3M 2214 is a general-purpose paper masking tape built on a 5.2 mil crepe backing with a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. The crepe construction allows the tape to conform around corners and curved surfaces without tearing, while the rubber adhesive delivers consistent tack across common industrial and packaging surfaces.

This tape is used for holding, bundling, sealing, and light-duty masking in warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, and light assembly environments. Its 150°F-for-30-minutes temperature rating supports use in moderate-heat processing lines and paint-adjacent workflows where brief heat exposure is expected.
