Central® 240 Reinforced Water Activated Tape is a 72mm wide, 450-foot kraft-backed gummed tape with fiberglass yarns bonded between paper layers for exceptional tensile strength. That reinforced construction resists tearing under load, holds irregular surfaces, and secures carton corners and edges where pressure-sensitive tapes typically fail.

The patented starch-based adhesive activates with water to form a permanent, tamper-evident bond that integrates with the carton surface — making clean removal impossible. This security characteristic makes it a preferred choice for e-commerce fulfillment, manufacturing shipping lines, retail distribution centers, and any operation handling heavy or high-value cartons.

The kraft and fiberglass construction supports recyclability: fiberglass yarns separate cleanly during standard repulping, keeping sealed corrugated cartons in the recycling stream. Each case contains 10 rolls and is compatible with water-activated tape dispensers sold separately.
