Kapton® tape in a 1/4" width by 36-yard length, constructed from 1 mil polyimide film with a silicone-based adhesive. Polyimide film maintains dimensional stability and adhesion integrity under extreme thermal, electrical, and mechanical stress that would degrade standard tapes — with a maximum continuous operating temperature of 500°F.
The narrow 1/4" profile suits precision masking of PCB traces, connectors, and small components during wave soldering and reflow processes. Additional applications include powder coating masking, semiconductor fabrication, automotive sensor and manifold insulation, fiber optic cable bundling, and chemical etching operations where tight placement and clean removal are required.
The silicone adhesive system removes without contaminating substrates, supporting use in surface-sensitive production environments. The tape also delivers high dielectric strength and strong abrasion resistance, making it reliable in both static and dynamic high-heat settings. Sold as a single roll.
