Kapton® tape in a 1/2" x 36-yard roll is built from 1 mil polyimide film with a silicone-based adhesive, combining thermal stability, high dielectric strength, and chemical resistance in a single narrow-profile roll. The silicone adhesive bonds securely under heat stress and removes without leaving residue.
Rated to 500°F continuous use, this tape performs through wave soldering, powder coating, semiconductor fabrication, and circuit board assembly. It also suits automotive sensor protection, fiber optic cable bundling, and precision masking during chemical etching processes where narrower coverage is essential.
The 1/2" width is purpose-matched for trace insulation, component-level masking, and tight-clearance applications where full-width tapes would overlap critical surfaces. Sold individually per roll and ships via parcel carrier.
