Scotch® Filament Tape 897 is a 6.0 mil strapping tape built on a clear polypropylene backing reinforced with fiberglass yarn filaments and bonded with a synthetic rubber adhesive. The filament reinforcement delivers high tensile strength in a narrow 1-inch profile, allowing secure bundling and strapping without adding bulk to the finished package.

The synthetic rubber adhesive bonds firmly to corrugated, plastic, metal, and most common packaging substrates. The polypropylene backing resists moisture, abrasion, and scuffing, making it dependable wherever rolls or finished packages face handling stress or transit exposure. Typical applications include bundling manufactured parts, reinforcing carton seams, pallet stabilization, and securing heavy or irregular loads — common in fulfillment centers, distribution operations, and light manufacturing lines.

Each roll measures 1 inch wide by 60 yards long. Cases contain 12 rolls and ship via parcel carrier, supporting routine inventory replenishment without minimum order requirements tied to freight scheduling.
