Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is a 6.6 mil clear polypropylene strapping tape reinforced with continuous glass yarn filaments bonded along the full length of each roll. That construction delivers high tensile strength that standard carton sealing tapes cannot match, making it a reliable choice for heavy bundling, unitizing, and reinforcement tasks where load security is critical.

The tape is widely used in warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, and industrial operations for L-clip and C-clip pallet closures, reinforcing carton seams under heavy loads, securing coils and tubing, and bundling components for shipment. The transparent backing keeps contents and labels visible after application.

The synthetic rubber adhesive provides aggressive initial tack and long-term holding power while the polypropylene film resists abrasion, moisture, and scuffing through handling and transit.
