Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is a 6.6 mil biaxially oriented polypropylene tape reinforced with continuous glass yarn filaments running the length of the roll. That fiber reinforcement delivers high tensile strength well beyond standard packaging tapes, making it a dependable choice where load integrity is critical.

Warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution operations rely on this tape for heavy bundling, pallet unitizing, strapping, and carton reinforcement. It performs equally well in L-clip and C-clip configurations for closing and securing corrugated cartons, and holds reliably through the abrasion and moisture exposure common in shipping and storage environments.

The clear polypropylene backing resists scuffing and maintains a low profile on finished packaging. The synthetic rubber adhesive bonds aggressively on initial contact and sustains holding power over time.
